The Pittsburgh Children's Museum with Becky

On December 23rd, Becky and I took Max to The Pittsburgh Children's Museum. It was SO much fun. Here are some pictures of our day...

Max in the water room.

You could build boats and play with funnells and cranks that made whirlpools, but Max was really worried about his sleaves being pushed up his arms. They had raincoats and rubber boots to put on for the kids who were REALLY into getting wet. Max was more of an observer in this room! Going UP...

This was a cool room. They called it the nursery and it had lots of toys to play with on his level. The train tables were fun. The tracks are glued to the tables so no one can knock them over. Becky, Max, and me inside the mirror maze.

On the rocking horse. Becky and I were sitting in front of him when we took this picture singing Row Row Your Boat to him. That's his favorite rockin' song :)

About to go down the BIG slide which is the exit to the Gravity Room. It's a room that is totally slanted where balls roll up the walls and it makes you feel like you're going to fall over. We couldn't set him down on the floor because he probably would have crashed into something. It was a real challenge just to get out! Sitting on the See Saw that goes through a glass tank filled with water. When the kids go up and down it makes bubbles in the water.

I think this little stage is called an Articulated Cloud (??). When you walked on it, lights and circles followed your feet around.
In the Garage Room. There was a pully and rope system that you could load balls, the size of a kickball, into and pull allll the way to the cieling, then it would roll onto a system of cables that rolled it back down into this red cage you see here. Max LOVES balls "BUHHH!!!"
This one fell off of the cable system and almost landed on his head.
So it was a super fun day and if you're ever looking for somewhere to take the kids that isn't as crazy or crowded as the Science Center, this would definitely be the place to go!! I think next year when he's just a little older, we'll be chasing him around, instead of rolling him from room to room in the stroller!
