Sandbridge Beach 2007

July 7th - 14th

Last week we took our beach vacation again with our family. This is the 2nd year we've all rented a beach house in Sandbridge, which is about 25 minutes south of VA Beach. It's so beautiful there and quiet and we have an awesome time. This year was no exception!

We left on Friday afternoon and drove about 5 1/2 hours to somewhere in VA and stopped at a hotel for the night. The next day we got back on the road after checking out and made it the rest of the way to the beach.

This is a picture of Max sitting at the beach one evening. He loved watching the waves and standing just close enough to the water that it would come up and cover his toes. I strapped him into his lifejacket twice last week and took him into the water to swim but he had much more fun standing on the shore! Under the umbrella wearing Brad's sunglasses
The waves are really low and gentle and it's really fun for the kids to boogie board and swim because the surf isn't too rough and rarely knocks them over.

Max's favorite part of going to the beach every morning was all the snacks we'd bring, he loved to sit on the blanket and have snacks :)

Ty and Trevor love to play football in the sand
You can see how quiet and uncrowded the beaches are

The kids loved having races up and down the beach. We drew start and finish lines in the sand and they'd run back and forth

It was really fun, we already have our house scoped out for next year! :)
